Day Four Date & Time
Day four of the Democratic National Convention is Thursday, August 20, 2020. It is officially being held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but will predominately be held virtually.
Official meetings will be conducted virtually throughout the day, with the public being invited to attend via live stream.
Prime time coverage begins at 9:00 PM EST and will conclude at 11:00 PM EST. This is when viewers will be able to watch speeches by prominent politicians and personalities on TV and online.
Day Four Theme: America’s Promise
The theme for the first day of the Democratic National Convention is "America’s Promise." Many of the speeches from the evening will once again introduce former Vice President Biden to the country he helped lead for eight years under President Barack Obama and what he envisions for the country moving forward. Many of the speeches will likely touch on Vice President Biden's long history of serving the people of the United States and how he will be a steady hand during difficult times.
Day Four Daytime Events
There are a number of official meetings that will be held throughout the day that viewers can participate in via livestream on the official Democratic National Convention website.
The fourth day of meetings include a Poverty Council meeting, LGBTQ Caucus meeting, Campaign Academy 2020 meeting, Small Business Council meeting, and a Native American Caucus meeting.
There will also be performance by a number of personalities and artists in the hour leading up to prime time coverage and in the hour after prime time coverage has concluded. Pod Save America will also be hosting a live show in the hour before prime time coverage begins.
Day Four Prime Time Speakers
Former Vice President Joe Biden is headlining the final night of the convention, delivering his acceptance speech to become the Democratic nominee for President from his home in Delaware.
Other notable speakers preceding Vice President Biden are Senator Cory Booker, California Governor Gavin Newsom, Senator Tammy Baldwin, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Senator Tammy Duckworth, Senator Chris Coons, and Andrew Yang.
