2020 Democratic presidential hopeful, Representative Tim Ryan talked with Stephanie Ruhle about his performance and strategies during the first night of the second Democratic Debates. He reflected on his stance on the future of the economy and the American worker.

Night one of the second Democratic debate in Detroit featured two popular progressive candidates speaking the most, Bernie Sanders & Elizabeth Warren, engaging in debates with more moderate candidates on topics including health care, immigration reform & college education. Tim Ryan and John Delaney were the most outspoken in support of more moderate positions providing a contrast while Pete Buttigieg with the 3rd most speaking time focused his criticism on Republicans. Steve Bullock made his first appearance and also defended more moderate positions.

They discussed his plans for winning back working class voters to the Democratic party as well as Ryan being at the center of one of the more talked about moments during the first night of debates.
1st Democratic Debate (1/2)
The first Democratic debate of the 2020 election cycle featured the first ten of twenty candidates who qualified to participate. There were plenty of minor disagreements between the candidates, particularly on immigration, healthcare policy, and Donald Trump. Some notable moments are when Senator Warren publicly called for the elimination of private health insurance (a first for her), Julian Castro's passionate plea for a more inclusive immigration law, and a number of candidates answering questions in Spanish instead of English in a bid to appeal to Hispanic voters.

2020 Democratic candidate, and Ohio U.S. Representative, Tim Ryan spoke during the Iowa Democratic Party Hall of Fame event in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He told the crowd that Muhammad Ali said that he had never been knocked down, and that he was either up or getting up. He followed up with saying the same goes for workers, women, the Iowa Democratic Party and America.

2020 Democratic Presidential candidate, and Ohio U.S. representative, Tim Ryan, took questions at a CNN Town Hall in Atlanta, Georgia. He called out the National Rifle Association, asking them to come to a consensus on new gun laws. He said the three issues the country faces is creating industrial policy, affordable quality health care, and quality education for everyone.
